Some of our concerns include the possibility of lagging our final website too much or the concern of being able to finish the website on top of the animations and the models. After receiving feedback and aid from our Professor Steve DiPaola, Grace looked into several technical implementations.
3D Models embed into WebFlow
We were thinking of using Webflow -- a website editor -- instead of building the website entirely from hard code due to the project time constraint. Also, we found this tutorial which explains how to embed 3D models in WebFlow; however, we would need to convert the Maya file into a GlTF file -- which requires this plugin.
Converting the Animations into a 360 Video
After taking a recommendation from Professor Steve DiPaola on the possibility of looking into converting a 3D animation video into a 360 video, we found this tutorial. However, it seems -- as outlined in the tutorial -- that it requires these rendering tools which both have a 30-day free trial: VRay and Phoenix FD.
